Across the street is El Taj Beachside, same design and theme.  Our guests are free to use the ammenities at both properties, including the pools and lounge areas.

You have a choice of 2 pools.The relaxing pool on Beachside property is an exotic black mosaic infinity pool with an extra large Jacuzzi while the oceanfront pool sits right on the beach in front of our  beach club.

El Taj is located both on the beach and in the heart of the Premier Zone of Playa that offers the convenience of having the best restaurants, nightlife and shopping within one block from the condo.  There’s no need for a car or taxi, you can walk everywhere.

You will find several small markets and grocery stores within a few blocks to outfit the kitchen for your stay if you desire to cook a meal or have breakfast/snacks/appetizers on the balcony.  For bigger shopping trips, walk to Mega or WalMart and have a cab bring you back for less than $5.

There’s so many fantastic  restaurants located within short walking distance, it’s hard to choose.
From your front door you are just steps from the beach, where you can swim, snorkel or jog along a white sandy beach that stretches for miles. Want to explore and venture out?

Walk a few blocks down the beach to the ferry and head over to Cozumel for the day. Investigate Mayan ruins, swim in underground rivers (ceynotes), scuba dive the incredible Playacar Reef or golf on some of the most beautiful courses in the world.

Located on premise at our Porto Playa Condo Hotel is The Gym and is free to our guests
Our exclusive Gym is centrally located in Porto Playa Condo Hotel . It is conveniently located within 1 block from all our properties. The GYM is optional to all our guests and it is designed and operated by the original founder of the world famous EQUINOX fitness clubs throughout the US.

The Gym was founded based on the idea that people should be able to get a good workout when they go to workout – even when traveling. It seems simple, but a concept that was missing in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. As a matter of fact there is no comparable gym in all of the Rivera Maya!

Enter The Gym at Porto Playa Condo Hotel. With everything from state-of-the-art equipment to our unique classes (Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, etc.).

Try one of the signature classes like spinning or Yoga or our gut-busting abs class, to keep you in shape. Or try the pick-up workout, an ongoing circuit training program with trainers standing by to actually help you use the equipment and maximize your exercise in the studio.

These classes – and The Gym – wouldn’t run as smoothly without top-notch staff. They are trained and certified to offer you the best customer service, and body-shaping moves to get you in the best shape ever. Our staff is passionate about fitness, and aims to share their passion with you.
